Tried GIF loaded to instance server directly but it shows up as MP4 at the end of the local URL in the bar and this does not work at all in the preview, like nothing shows up.

I don’t know. I just used https://ezgif.com/gif-to-webp every time I feed it a gif it spits out an animated webp that seems to work.

BTW, I don’t know if you are a dev, a tester, filing bugs as issues, or if my noting bugs in posts does anything to help. I don’t mind helping testing a few minutes here and there on a mobile device instead of playing Sudoku or whatnot. I don’t log into my github from this device and I don’t keep this device linked to anything on my workstation. Maybe this is not helpful. I left some posts on “ACTUAL BUGS…” since the last time you were here.

I’m an independent tester. Trying to draw attention to how little testing is going on.

I feel this forum was at least in front of people testing, so I created the “ACTUAL” communities, and some people went with the flow.

A major bug with search I reported on lemmy.ml with rc6 was running on there 24 hours before it became release 0.18.0 - and it didn’t get fixed. The issue has now been sitting on github for 24 hours with no response from developers.

I didn’t think release-candidate testing was worth cluttering up GitHub with, given the often rapid nature of trying to catch bugs before publishing the final release. So I personally didn’t choose to share them, and I also felt it was a good idea that the developers be visiting their own official testing server looking at what is going on.

I left some posts on “ACTUAL BUGS…” since the last time you were here.

      Thank you.
