Can someone try to follow: ajeremias@slrpnk.net from a mastodon account? It appears to me as “Follow request sent” but i don’t see any option in lemmy to receive the requests…?
You can’t follow users I think, only communities? Not 100% sure to be honest :)

this seems to be true from my testing. Any request to follow a user is ignored by lemmy.
That is my experience as well. I wonder if this is as per design, or a bug.
What about doing the opposite : is it possible to follow a mastodon user from Lemmy? I just joined Lemmy because it seems to have a more solid basis (ie rust) but many people I see moving out of twitter are going to mastodon, and I’d love to follow them through activitypub
Not an answer to your question but you can follow Mastodon users via RSS in your RSS feed reader.
