Feel free to have a look at
We watched Star Trek Section 31… Do not watch it. It’s so bad. Possibly written by AI, because it not… Man. Should’ve looked at reviews first.
Finally finished Attack on Titan, which was the firat anime I watched since Bleach (stopped after they defeated Aizen). Anybody got other must watch ones? Before that I really like Samurai Champloo and Death Note.
Also watched Black Doves which was quite good.
So much King of the Hill. It’s the perfect background show.
Severance, Silo, The Night Agent, Dexter, The Recruit mainly
Flow. It’s amazing how much emotion can be expressed through just movements. It’s also one of the prettiest movies I’ve seen and that cat is super cute.
I really enjoyed Flow a lot more than I expected The soundtrack and plotting were evocative I just had a problem with the animation, the idea were great, the design was good, the animals all felt real, but it felt like it needed to be run through the renderer a couple more times Everything was bit flat and the lighting seemed a little off and it didn’t feel like that was the look they were going for, just that they didn’t have a big enough budget I’m looking forward to see what’s next from the production team though.
The animation did feel a bit off at times but I didn’t really mind. Let’s hope they get a chance to do something with a bigger budget
Yeah it really like it It just need a bit of polishing in the hairs and such
The Pope’s Excorcist which I thought was brilliantly daft but my partner just found a chore to sit through. Of anyone who made or watches the film, Russell Crowe definitely had the most fun.
On one of my days off I had a nice triple bill of horror to watch.
The Substance, which was a very good body horror film. I fell in love with Margaret Qualley and Demi Moore (not literally but they were both amazing in it). I feel like the movie released with great timing as influencers are starting to push weight loss drugs such as Ozempic.
Heretic, which I found Hugh Grant to be terrifying and well spoken, as he played a strange and seemingly harmless (at first) man that has some pretty interesting insights into religion. I found the cat and mouse type environment to work well with the verbal riddles regarding religious hypocrisies. The third act could have been better but it was still a decent watch overall.
Finally, Alien Romulus, which was the best alien film since the first two, if they didn’t shoe horn the line “get away from her you… bitch” it may have been better than the second one also but, alas it was still a great watch. I particularly liked the character of Andy and the face hugger sections were the most intense scenes until the third and final act, where Mark Zuckerberg made a cameo.
Severance and Love is Blind Germany, oh and Silo.
Can definitely vouch for Severance and Silo, big fan.
We are watching Fleabag (on Amazon Prime), a UK series telling the story of a young woman with a complicated family, experiencing ups and downs in her love and sexual life.
The main character is extremely funny, sarcastic and cynical. She regularly talks directly to the viewer out loud, looking a the camera, breaking the 4th wall, and that in the middle of conversations with other protagonists, it’s a very refreshing take.
