Wow, nice!
Wow, nice!
…appropriating their equipment for anything but their job should immediately lose access to said equipment.
Hope ur doing this activism on ur personal machine
I guess they weren’t paying quite enough to have offline backups? I believe financial institutions can keep stuff stored in caves (think records of all the mortgages a bank wants to be repaid for - data loss isn’t an option).
“Unprecedented” is kinda hot right now. Tries to mitigate too much blame being heaped on: “obviously we prepare for the usual and even the unexpected, but this has literally never happened before (give us another shot pls)”.
So it’s interesting for the news that it takes on a different context when said breathlessly: “UNPRECEDENTED failure!”
My instance is on it. What else could one need!
Oh right all the documentation that gets Discordwalled. Perhaps if we keep whining fewer FOSS devs will dare use it [exclusively].
Nice
There’s an important corollary to all this. I (and we at Mozilla) don’t have all the good ideas. We never will. So, consider my inbox to be yours. Got an idea? Let’s talk: hi-nabiha@mozillafoundation.org
Suppose there’s reason to reasonably disagree here.
Acceptable to me:
Tr_mp’s $60 Bible & Constitution omits amendments , including ending slavery and allowing women to vote
or
Tr_mp’s $60 Bible & Constitution omits the amendments (e.g. ending slavery**,** allowing women to vote**)**
maybe switch it up
Ending slavery? Women’s right to vote? Nope, no Bill of Rights in the Tr_mp Bible & Constitution
I immediately assumed 45 had excluded two amendments. When you see a group of 45 haters like Lemmy call a “45 sucks” post clickbait, there’s cause for re-evaluation - though I can accept you being technically correct, on the very edge of it. Knowingly potentially misleading (as of now) but with proper good intent. Cheers for getting back to me :)
Does this mean you have indicated to your employees and/or contractors that you intend to hold them legally liable in the case someone launches litigation against you?
@homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world mind fixing the problematic title?
Purpose: properly messaging the idiocy of the twice-impeached president
I like how Facebook intentionally delays spam reports made via Messenger on desktop. That’s after clicking through excessive prompts (which are more understandable due to the general public’s abuse of reporting features).
I’ve been pleased with their messaging on that - “deleted items remaining trash for [some period]…“ (IIRC)
Good job Lemmy
Wow, the SSD can hold the charges perfectly while unplugged for ages? Amazing.
In a post apocalyptic world where I am in charge of building a storage drive and I’m given all the instructions and fabs, the world is going without storage.
Undeleting nudes
That’s iPhone
Seriously: I don’t think the cost benefit is there to intentionally make a maneuver like this. Any crap they pull needs to have a perfectly proper explanation, with our agreement to a specific term buried somewhere in their policies. Can only imagine how much money they blew throwing these billboards up all over the San Francisco Bay area. We have to buy Apple over Google for ostensible privacy gains, and Apple has to lock us in to their walled gardens to make up for their comparatively smaller ad/data business.
This post assumes Apple is aethical (that’s like amoral but for ethics right?) but still a self-interested economic actor. They can’t let short-term greed get in the way of long-term greed!
I like their “I don’t like your name“ page
Heh
For reference for anyone
Now GameStop
I cannot buy fewer EA games.
Not with that attitude
The last EA game I bought ran on the Super Nintendo.
Have you checked Babbage’s return policy?
Different portions of the screen
Otherwise it’s too vulnerable to a common blocking technology
Even okay with X-Twitter
(It is ex-Twitter)
Nice!
Hello to the loud seal that middle jelly is resting on :)
